Orrique Pro

iPhone, iPad, MacBeginner10 min read

Orrique Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks the app’s deeper, more analytical features. This article covers what Pro unlocks, what stays free, how to subscribe, how to restore a purchase, and what happens if you cancel.

Most of Orrique works without Pro. You can build your collection, log every wear, browse your diary, see your daily pick, and use the home screen widgets, all for free. Consider Pro when you want to go further: compare bottles, study how you actually wear your collection, get written AI reads of your taste and your shelves, or keep scanning labels past the free trial.

Almost all of the everyday app costs nothing. The full free list lives in Free vs Orrique Pro, but here is the short version.

Everything that is free, no subscription needed
  • Adding and organizing your collection, shelves, and wishlist.
  • Logging wears, ratings, moods, placements, weather, and notes in your diary.
  • Wear presets, live wear sessions, and same-day and next-day ratings.
  • Today’s Pick, your wearing rhythm, and the rotating insight cards.
  • Formulas, scent bases, and the Layering Room pairing finder.
  • The Scent Atlas Wheel lens, your fingerprint, the Year heatmap, the Map constellation, and Scent Wrapped.
  • Discover, Scent Twin recommendations, dupe matches, “Before you buy,” and “You vs the crowd.”
  • The note glossary and note encyclopedia.
  • Making and exporting a share card: pick a Style and a Size, then share (with the Orrique mark in the corner).
  • The home screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight.
  • Full backup and restore, and spreadsheet (CSV) import and export.
  • Several on-device AI features: the review draft, the weekly recap, and Scent Twin.

Each Pro feature shows a small “Pro” badge or a locked card while you are on the free plan, and tapping it opens the subscription screen. The table below mirrors Free vs Orrique Pro so the two pages stay in step.

The rows marked “Yes” in the AI column also need Apple Intelligence on a supported device. See the device caveats below.

These affect the buy decision, so they are worth seeing before you tap.

On all your devices

Pro features behave the same on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You can subscribe, restore, and manage your subscription on any of them through the App Store. See Device Support for the full matrix.

Apple Watch

The watch has no purchase screen. You subscribe, restore, and manage Pro on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Apple Intelligence features

Your Scent Profile, the written gap read, the Layering Room read, Wear Coach, and the Scent Librarian read run on your device and need a supported device with Apple Intelligence on. Where it is not available, the plain (non-written) version still appears, except Your Scent Profile, which is the written read itself.

Tied to your Apple Account

Pro comes from the App Store, not from your iCloud journal. Restoring a purchase brings Pro back without touching your scents or your diary.

  1. Open Settings in Orrique.
  2. Find the Orrique Pro card near the top and tap “Upgrade to Pro”. (You can also reach this screen by tapping any feature that shows a “Pro” badge.)
  3. On the Orrique Pro screen, review the list of what Pro unlocks.
  4. Choose a plan. Two options are offered: monthly and yearly. The yearly plan is marked “Best value” and costs less per month; the monthly plan is the flexible option you can stop sooner. The exact prices are shown on the screen and come from the App Store.
  5. Tap “Start Orrique Pro” and confirm the purchase with your Apple Account, the same way you confirm any App Store purchase.

If you already subscribed and Orrique is not showing Pro (for example after reinstalling the app or setting up a new device), restore your purchase.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap the Restore button. On the free Orrique Pro card this sits just under “Upgrade to Pro” and reads “Restore Purchases”; on the subscription screen it sits under “Start Orrique Pro” and reads “Restore purchases”.
  3. Orrique checks your Apple Account for an active subscription and turns Pro back on if it finds one.

If no active subscription is found, Orrique tells you so. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.

  1. Open Settings. When you are subscribed, the Orrique Pro section shows your Status, your Read Bottle status, and a “Manage Subscription” link.
  2. Tap “Manage Subscription” to open your App Store subscription settings, where you can switch plans or cancel.

Cancelling is handled by the App Store, not inside Orrique. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Free trials, refunds, and Family Sharing are handled by the App Store under your Apple Account, not by Orrique. If a plan offers an introductory free trial, the App Store shows the terms on the purchase screen before you confirm; for refunds, use the App Store’s “Report a Problem” flow.

When your purchase or restore succeeds, Pro turns on right away and the locked features unlock. The subscription screen closes on its own once Pro is active. In Settings, the Orrique Pro section then updates to reflect your active plan.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You manage renewal in your App Store subscription settings, reachable from the “Manage Subscription” link in Settings.
