Short, step-by-step recipes for the things people do most in Orrique. Each one is a few numbered steps, with a link to the fuller article when you want more.

Use this when you know what you want to do and just want the quick steps. The recipes are grouped below so you can jump to the right kind of task.

  1. Open the Collection tab and tap the plus button, or tap “Add your first fragrance” on Today.
  2. Identify the scent: search the catalog by name, scan the bottle, or choose to enter it by hand.
  3. Confirm the match on the preview card.
  4. Personalize it: add a photo, notes, a rating, and bottle details like size and price.
  5. Tap Save.
  1. Start adding a scent the usual way, or open a scent in the catalog or on Discover.
  2. Set its status to Wishlist instead of a container you own.
  3. Tap Save. The scent lands in your wishlist so you can find it when you are ready to buy.
  1. Open Settings, then the Notifications row.
  2. Turn on Morning scent prompt for a daily nudge to log what you are wearing, and set the Morning time.
  3. Turn on Next-day rating reminder to be prompted to rate yesterday’s wear, and set the Next-day time.
  4. The first time you turn on a reminder, allow notifications if your device asks.

  2. Choose the scent and adjust sprays and placement if needed.
  3. Tap Save.

  1. When you log a wear, turn on the live-tracking toggle, “Track this wear live,” then save.
  2. During the day, tap the session card on Today to log phases and reactions.
  3. Tap “End session” when you are done. The check-ins are saved to the entry.
  4. The next day, open the next-day rating prompt in your diary and rate how it held up.
  1. Open Orrique on your Apple Watch. The complication or app shows today’s pick.
  2. Tap the pick to log it, or scroll to choose a different scent.
  3. The wear syncs back to your iPhone.

Build and wear a layering formula Layering Room read is Pro

  1. Open Formulas and create a formula, or open the Layering Room from Formulas.
  2. In the Layering Room, pick a starting scent or base and choose the effect you want.
  3. Save a pairing you like as a formula.
  4. Log or track the formula like any other wear. Only the fragrance layers are recorded as wears; a base sets the stage.

Find a cheaper alternative to a scent you want

  1. Open Discover and look at the cheaper-twins and “Smells like, for less” cards.
  2. Or open a scent’s detail page and check its dupe matches.
  3. From Discover, tap a cheaper-twin card to start adding it. From a scent’s detail page, tap a dupe match to see how it compares.
  1. From your shelves or wardrobe, open Pack for a trip.
  2. Set the length and the kind of trip.
  3. Orrique suggests a small capsule from your collection to take with you.
  1. Open the scent’s detail page and tap the Options menu (the circle with three dots).
  2. To keep the scent but drop a container you no longer have, choose the container and tap Remove this container; its status updates to match what you still have.
  3. To remove the scent entirely, choose Delete.
  1. Open Settings, then Backup and Export.
  2. Tap Export Backup to save a complete copy (scents, diary, formulas, and photos) as a file.
  3. To restore later, use Import Backup and confirm the replace prompt.

  2. On the new device, sign in to the same iCloud account and open Orrique.
  3. Bring your journal across using the matching path.

  1. Open Settings, then Data and Sync.
  2. Choose Local Only to keep your journal on this device, or iCloud Sync to keep it in your private iCloud.
  3. Confirm the switch. With iCloud Sync on, your data appears on every device signed in to the same iCloud account.

  2. Turn on App Lock and set how soon it locks.
  3. Orrique uses Face ID or Touch ID (or your device passcode) to unlock from then on.
  1. Tap Share from a fragrance page, a diary entry, your collection, or your wishlist.
  2. In the editor, pick a template and adjust the fonts and layout.
  3. Export or share the card.
  1. Scanning is a reading aid, so the preview is yours to correct: on the preview card, edit the brand, name, and notes before you save.
  2. If you already saved the scent, open its detail page, open the Options menu, and choose Edit to fix any field.
  3. Tap Save. Your changes appear everywhere right away.
  1. Open Settings. When you are subscribed, the Orrique Pro section shows a Manage Subscription link.
  2. Tap Manage Subscription to open your App Store subscription settings.
  3. From there you can switch plans or cancel.
Restore a Pro purchase on a new device or after reinstalling

If you already paid for Pro but it is not showing as active, open Settings, find the Orrique Pro section, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store account you bought it with.
