Common Tasks

Use these short recipes when you already know what you want to do. Follow the linked guide for options, limits, and troubleshooting.

Add a fragrance

1. Open Collection and tap the add button.
2. Search the catalog, enter details, or use Read Bottle on iPhone or iPad.
3. Check the proposed name and facts.
4. Set its status and add a container if useful.
5. Save.

Add something to your wishlist

Add or edit the fragrance and set its status to Wishlist. You do not need a container. Open the Wishlist mode in Collection to find it later.

Log today’s scent

1. Open Today or Diary.
2. Tap the wear prompt or new-entry control.
3. Choose the fragrance and adjust sprays, occasion, mood, weather, or notes.
4. Save.

For a quick repeat, use Log as usual from a fragrance or repeat a Diary entry. See Diary.

Track a wear live

Turn on Track this wear live before saving a new wear, or start a session from Today’s pick or a Diary entry. The live session card works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. iPhone and iPad can also show a Live Activity when system settings allow it. Apple Watch receives the active session through its paired iPhone.

Use the check-ins as the scent changes, then end the session and review the saved recap. See Diary and Device Support.

Log from Apple Watch

Open Orrique on the Watch, choose a recent or suggested scent, and log it. The Watch sends the action through the paired iPhone. If the Watch looks empty, open Orrique on the iPhone with both devices nearby. See Apple Watch.

Build a layering formula

Open Formulas, create a formula, add the fragrances or base, then save it. Log the formula when you wear the combination. The Layering Room ranks and saves two-layer pairings for free. Pro adds larger stacks and written reads. See Formulas and Layering.

Find a cheaper alternative

Open a fragrance and choose the dupe or similar-scent action, or browse Discover. Community agreement and known prices determine whether savings can be shown. See Discover and Dupes.

Organize a shelf

Select one or more fragrances in Collection, choose Shelf, then pick or create a shelf. Open the Wardrobe for a visual shelf view. See Shelves and Wardrobe.

Plan scents for a trip

Open Pack for a trip, enter the trip length and useful context, then review the capsule. You can change the selection before sharing or using it as a checklist. See Pack for a Trip.

Remove a bottle without deleting the fragrance

Open the fragrance, then open its container in Your journey. Mark it Used up or Let go to keep the history, or remove that container record. Delete the fragrance only when you want the main record and photos removed. See Containers and Stock.

Back up your journal

1. Open Settings, then Backup & Export.
2. Choose Export Backup.
3. Read the privacy warning.
4. Save the readable backup to a private location.

Move to a new device

1. Export a full backup from the old device as a safety copy.
2. If you use iCloud Sync, sign into the same iCloud account on the new device and let the journal download.
3. If you use Local Only, import the backup on the new device. Import replaces the journal after a preview and confirmation.
4. Restore Pro with the same App Store account if needed.

Change Local Only or iCloud Sync

Open Settings, Data and Sync, then choose the storage location. Keep Orrique open while it prepares the change, then check Storage on this device for the active mode. No restart is needed. See iCloud and Sync.

Turn on App Lock

Open Settings, Privacy, then turn on Require Face ID to unlock. It uses Touch ID or the device passcode where appropriate. There is no user-selectable delay. App Lock is a screen barrier, not file encryption. See Privacy and App Lock.

Make and share a scent card

Open a fragrance, Diary entry, or another supported share source, then choose Share. Pick the card type, preview it, and use the system share sheet. Free sharing includes the standard tools and Orrique mark. Pro unlocks deep editing and watermark removal.

Fix a wrong Read Bottle result

Correct the draft before saving. If it is already in Collection, open the fragrance, choose Edit, and change the incorrect fields. Scans are proposals and never need to overwrite a correct value. See Read Bottle.

Manage or cancel Pro

Open Settings, the Pro area, then Subscription. Choose Manage Subscription for billing or cancellation, or Restore Purchases when an active plan is missing. See Pro Subscription.
